<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">AdWords advertisers that accept multiple currencies on their sites or apps can now track ad-driven conversion values in a single currency.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">The change means sales will be converted into the same currency as
the billing settings in an AdWords account. Advertisers importing goals
and transactions from Google Analytics can assign a currency to them,
and AdWords will automatically convert the currency.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">A retailer or app developer accepting payments in dollars, euros and
pounds, for example, can automatically see all transaction revenue in
the currency that’s set for AdWords billing. No more having to convert
and reconcile the currencies manually to calculate revenue performance.
Conversion values will then be reported in the same currency as ad
costs, making ROAS calculations much easier.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">If you use cross-account conversion tracking in an MCC that has
accounts with different billing currencies, the conversion values will
be shown in one common currency — set at the MCC level — to make it
easier to compare performance. At the individual account level, you’ll
be able to see revenue in the local currency after adding a currency to
each conversion action.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Google uses the average daily foreign exchange rate when converting
conversion values into the account currency for reporting. To learn how
to assign a currency to conversion actions, read the support information
 <a href="https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3419241#currency" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here</a>.</span></div>

How to Create Social Bookmarking Site using Pligg - Robot Box

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<h1 class="entry-title" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">How to Create Social Bookmarking Site using Pligg</span></h1>
<div itemprop="articleBody">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">There are many free & paid social bookmarking sites and some are
paid one too. Social bookmarking sites are usually those sites which
allow submissions from user and community to rate the submissions. Some
examples of such social bookmarking sites are: Digg, Reddit, Stumble
Upon and so on. Now, if you are one of those bloggers who have proved
himself and community trust your choice and recommendation, it’s time to
 take another stage forward and start your own social bookmarking site. <img alt="Pligg " class="alignright size-full wp-image-50161" height="243" src="http://www.shoutmeloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Pligg.png" style="border: 1px solid black; margin: 2px;" title="Pligg" width="400" /> </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> By
 this method, you can provide quality news and best of topics from
internet to your followers. For this task simply start a Social
Bookmarking column with your blog or you can <strong><em>create social bookmarking site</em></strong>.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Some examples of great social bookmarking sites are reddit.com
 and StumbleUpon.com etc. Many open source CMS are available for
creating a social bookmarking site like Drupal, Hotaru and some
WordPress plugins are also available. But I recommend you a smart one
and free CMS – <em><strong>PLIGG</strong></em>.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Specially, being a blogger we read so many articles and many of them
are interesting and you might be using various bookmarking tools to
bookmark these pages. How about you create your own social bookmarking
site and save your links and at the same time <strong>make money from ads</strong>.<br />
The idea is simple, instead of using any 3rd party site for bookmarking
your links, you can use your own social bookmarking site. You don’t need
 to promote it apart from setting up Pligg and adding your links. It
might take years before your social bookmarking site will start catching
 some eyes but yes, you are making money for something that you were
completely ignoring. And in future, you might allow user submissions and
 you never know you might have created one of the top or popular social
bookmarking site.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Pligg is an <em><strong>open source CMS</strong></em> (Content
Management System) that provides you social publishing software that
encourages visitors to create an account and start bookmarking links on
internet by submitting them. This is call submission and same submission
 will be shown to other users who can vote and promote that story to
homepage for more wider audience. This is good for bloggers to get
traffic and specially creating a social bookmarking site based on a
small niche is a great idea.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Pligg is a powerful social networking CMS which comes with various
features like: Groups, Private messaging, Commenting system, User
profile, modules, Templating, and it’s also SEO optimized. In this
article I’ll give you full tutorial how to install, configure and modify
 Pligg to create your own social bookmarking website. Follow these
steps:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h2 itemprop="alternativeHeadline">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">How to Install Pligg CMS:</span></h2>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">1.  Go to pligg.com and
 download the latest version of Pligg. You need a webhosting to get
started, and I would recommend to start on Hostgator which is perfect
for hosting your Pligg Social bookmarking site. Sign up for Hostgator here. (Use Coupon ShoutMeLoud25 to get 25% discount on your total bill).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Then go to your cPanel and upload it in any directory (www.yourdomain.com/<em>example</em>) where you want or you can upload it in the web root (<em>www.yourdomain.com</em>)
 if you want to convert your whole website into a social bookmarking
site. Now extract it and open the address, where you uploaded it, in a
new window.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><img alt="Download Pligg " class="aligncenter wp-image-103580 size-full" height="342" src="http://www.shoutmeloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Download-Pligg.jpg" title="Download Pligg" width="620" /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><img alt="2 " class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-50192" height="417" src="http://www.shoutmeloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/2.png" style="border: 1px solid black;" title="How to Create Social Bookmarking Site using Pligg" width="516" /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><img alt="3 " class="size-full wp-image-50193 aligncenter" height="417" src="http://www.shoutmeloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/3.png" style="border: 1px solid black; margin-bottom: 3px; margin-top: 3px;" title="How to Create Social Bookmarking Site using Pligg" width="515" /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">2.  Now you’ll see a screen with three
links Pligg Homepage, Plig README and Pligg. Choose Pligg from them.
Then follow the instruction mentioned in the page. Go to your cPanel and
 open Pligg directory. Rename ‘<em>settings.php.default</em>‘ to ‘<em>settings.php</em>‘ and rename ‘<em>dbconnect.php.default</em>‘ to ‘<em>dbconnect.php</em><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">‘.</span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">3.  Then reload the page in which you are
working and click on ‘Pligg Installer?’ and select your language. Now
you have to play with CHMOD permissions. Change the permissions to 755
of the following folders, if they give errors then try 777 permissions:</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">admin/backup/</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">avatars/groups_uploaded/</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">avatars/user_uploaded/</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">cache/</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">cache/admin_c/</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">cache/templates_c/</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">languages/ (And all of the files contained in this folder should be CHMOD 777)</span></li>
</ul>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Change the permissions to 666 the following files:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">libs/dbconnect.php</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">settings.php</span></li>
</ul>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">4.  Afer changing the permissions when you’ll click Next you’ll have to fill the information of Data Base. So go to ‘<em>MySQL Database Wizard’ </em>in
 your cPanel and create a data base and fill its required details and
press Next and fill your admin account details then click on <em>Create Admin Account</em>. The Pligg has been installed successfully .</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><img alt="15 " class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-50198" height="416" src="http://www.shoutmeloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/15.png" style="border: 1px solid black;" title="How to Create Social Bookmarking Site using Pligg" width="515" /><img alt="6 " class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-50195" height="410" src="http://www.shoutmeloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/6.png" style="border: 1px solid black;" title="How to Create Social Bookmarking Site using Pligg" width="515" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">5.  Now again change the permissions of ‘<em>/libs/dbconnect.php</em>‘ to 644 because Pligg will not need to change this file again and delete the ‘<em>/install</em>‘
 directory from your cPanel. Your social bookmarking site is ready to
use. Login to your admin area and configure your site. You should make
your account in Pligg Forums<span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"> for better experience.</span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">How to change Pligg template:</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Changing the theme/template is not so much easy like WordPress but not so much difficult also. Make your account in Pligg Forums and search there for the latest themes for Pligg and download them. Then upload them in your cPanel in ‘<em>/template</em>‘ directory. Login to your admin panel, go to template tag and select ‘<em>To change the template, please click here</em>‘ option. In template section fill the template/theme name (which you already have uploaded  in the ‘/<em>template</em>‘ directory) in the ‘<em>Value</em>‘ text area. And enjoy your social bookmarking site.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">There are many Pligg templates that you can search and install it on
your Pligg based site to give a new look. You can also hire a custom
Pligg template designer to create a template for you. For now, do let us

<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Last week, Google announced that sites secured with HTTPS and SSL will
now get a boost in search rankings. Previously, we only had speculations
 about HTTPS being a ranking factor, but Google's announcement made it
official. Which makes it a good time to make the switch to HTTPS and get
 ahead of your competition before the playing field levels up again. But
 before you head off to take a look at your site's security, let's take a
 look at how this ranking factor actually works.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

<a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a></span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
What we know about this ranking signal?</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
A common question people as is, how is this ranking signal related to
Google's algorithms such as Panda and Penguin. Well, the fact is, <i>it isn't</i>! The HTTPS ranking signal is standalone signal, and is independent from any other ranking signal or algorithm.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Unlike Penguin or Panda algorithms, this is a ranking signal that is run
 in real time. URLs get an immediate, tiny ranking boost as soon as
Google indexes them.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><b>Is it Domain-level or Page-level?</b> So far, it seems to be URL
specific. Websites might have various sections, some running on HTTP
while others on HTTPS. So only the HTTPS pages will see a small ranking
boost, and not the other pages on the same site.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><b>What about News websites?</b> Google's news index
 differs from the normal Google web index. But migrating news sites to
HTTPS should have no issue. If you run a news website, i.e. a site that
is included in Google news section, just go through the normal migration
 process and Google News will pick up on the change automatically.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Some problems with HTTPS migration</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Google recommends that when you do a migration, use the change of
address tool within Google Webmaster Tools. But you cannot - the change
of address tool does not support HTTPS migrations yet, and there's no
indication of when it will be supported. If you are doing the migration,
 a 301 redirect is enough of a signal to communicate the change, even
without using the change of address tool.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Another problem people are reporting is that, since the HTTPS ranking
signal launch, Google has been sending out security certificate errors
via Google Webmaster Tools. However, we haven't seen such problems, yet.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

explaining how Bloggers can migrate their sites from HTTP to HTTPS. Stay

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Many of us take our appearance in Google search results for granted. While it requires a lot of effort to rank #1 for popular queries,
 it doesn't take rocket science to get your site into Google's index.
Well, getting into the index once isn't difficult, but doing it again <i>is</i>
 after your site has been kicked out. Yes, the biggest bully on the
internet could decide to remove your website altogether in a day. But
not without reason. If you know anything about SEO in 2014, you should know better than to make these mistakes.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

<a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a></span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
1. Buying Links</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Need we even discuss this one? There are tonnes of so called 'SEO firms'
 out there promising to sell quality links. The tragedy isn't in the
existence of such firms - it is in people falling for such scams more
often than not.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Most often, the links these companies 'sell' are from cheap or spammy
sites. Even if they promise high-quality links, changes are good that
these links won't even be relevant. It's like having a doctor write up
our letter of recommendation for your IT job interview - it just doesn't
 work, and definitely doesn't help. And that is the best case scenario.
Often, these links are from cheap and spammy websites.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Best stay away from them because Google takes the strictest action against buying links.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
2. Bad Link Directories</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
This is a very common mistake people make - submitting their sites to
whatever link directories they can find. Google's Matt Cutts recently
addressed the question in a video, and we elaborated on that quite a
bit. I'd highly recommend you read the following article.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Should you use link directories in 2014?</span></li>
</ul>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
The bottom-line is, most link directories are not relevant, and hence
links from them will only hurt you. Even if they are relevant, the
effect of the link diminishes with as the total number of listed sites
increases, in which case they're still not helpful. Only rarely do link
directories help (read the article for our insight!)</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
3. Article Marketing</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
The idea is you could write an article, “spin” multiple versions of it,
making small adjustments to the wording, and then submit those versions
to different websites that collect free articles in exchange for a link
back to your site. <span style="text-align: justify;">Back in the 2000s,
 this method worked very well, and sites like Ezine Articles and
Articles Base rose to popularity. But today, the technique is no longer
useful.</span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Google used to think that the different links from the spun articles
were really unique. But over the years, their algorithm has gotten
better and better at sniffing out articles with small variations.
Articles that used to rank for years are now plummeting, because Google
recognizes them for what they are: spam.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
4. Keyword Stuffing</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Keyword stuffing is one of the most common SEO mistakes. One of the most
 common SEO mistakes that looks dumb too. I am sure you hate most common
 SEO mistakes too.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
See what I did there? Not only is the above sentence wordy and
redundant, it also has the key-phrase "most common SEO mistakes" stuffed
 three time when once was enough. I wrote like that to make a point.
People put in excess keywords to get attention from search engines. But
as you know, Google now knows better. You’ll attract Google for sure,
swiftly followed by a kick down the results pages.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
5. Unnatural Anchor Text</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Anchor text is the text that has a hyperlink attached to it. Anchor text
 helps Google determine the relevance of a link. For example, the link "Blogger widgets"
 should be about widgets for Blogger. But some people try to best the
system by building spam links, and using the terms they want to rank for
 as the anchor text, hoping it’ll increase their chances of getting
ranked. For example, using the "Blogger widgets" anchor text for a link
to an ad.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Some people also use the same anchor text over and over again. If I
wanted to link back to this site, I wouldn't use the "Blogger tricks"
keyword every time. Duplicate and irrelevant anchor text will definitely
 land you a Google penalty.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
6. Broken Links</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
You have some content, maybe a product review that has won over a
reader, who now wants to become a customer. They are enthusiastic and
click on the link that should take them to the purchase page.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
Poof, 404!<br />
<br />
Aaaand, you've lost a customer.<br />
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Sites naturally accumulate broken links: however they’re a major
nuisance to your visitors and Google doesn’t like them either. But, if
they’re so natural, why does Google penalize you for them? It’s because
bad links will earn you a bad reputation. And people with online
reputations aren't viewed as authorities on anything (apart from getting
 bad reputations, that is).</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Anyway, Google downgrades rankings of sites with lots of issues like
this, so don’t be a rebel without a cause. Do some regular housekeeping
on your site.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
7. Content Cloaking</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Cloaking content is a ruthless black hat SEO technique. Cloaking means
hiding some content from the search engine, or displaying a version of
some text to the search engine that is different from the one presented
to the user. This is usually used in over-promotion, phishing, etc.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Hidden text is text that is made invisible to the readers so that they
can't see what they're clicking on. This trick can be achieved by
playing around with colors. For example, white text won't show against a
 white background. These techniques are unethical, and cheap. And by
now, you should know better than to use them.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
8. Excessive internal-linking</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Interlinking content within your site is a great SEO practice. We always
 recommend people to interlink more often. But there's a catch. In an
attempt for over-optimization, some webmasters interlink so much that
there are more than a couple links in any given post pointing at the
same page. And to make matters worse, they might even link repeatedly to
 their home pages. Well that, my friends, is a recipe for disaster.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
9. Duplicate content</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
It often happens that those who are unable to write good quality content
 themselves resort to underhand means of obtaining such content. Since
they don't have much content to write about, they re-use content from
others. While quotes and stuff are okay, copying entire paragraphs off
others' posts and rephrasing them is just plain wrong.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
10. Non-unique title and meta descriptions</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Sometimes CMSs like Drupal and WordPress auto-generate page titles, but
that doesn’t mean you should let this continue. The title tag is one of
the most important on-page SEO factors, and so is the meta description.
Both these tags describe your content to users on search engines, so
naturally they get more attention from Google than your other content.
Make sure each page on your site has a unique title and meta
description, otherwise you'll have a lot to pay for!</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />

Bing Launches Conversational Search, Follow-Up Questions - Robot Box

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">One of the top trends for SEO in 2014
 is conversational search. Google debuted its Hummingbird algorithm last
 year to better understand users' questions and conversational queries.
Microsoft has announced that Bing now also supports this feature, and
apparently does as good a job at it as Google. What's more, you can now
ask follow-up questions, a relatively new feature for web search. With
features like these, Bing is all set to catapult ahead of its competitors and give present more of a challenge to Google.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

<a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a></span><h3 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Conversational search</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Conversational search makes use of complex natural language processing
algorithms to understand how users ask questions, and what exactly do
they mean. This goes far beyond matching keywords with search queries as
 search engines used to do in the past.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Bing might be late to the party, but it definitely didn't come
empty-handed. Microsoft has its Cortana personal assistant perks that it
 can use with web search. Cortana is the intelligent personal assistant
for the Windows Phone platform that understands what you're saying -
Microsoft's answer to Apple's Siri.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
With this new feature, you can ask Bing a question in a natural,
conversational way. Not only that, you can follow up with another
question about the same subject and Bing will remember what you were
asking about. Once Bing has grabbed the first set of search results, you
 can carry on asking more questions about the same topic, within the
same search.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Pretty cool, right? It's like conversing with a search engine.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
How does it work?</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Let's have a demonstration, shall we? Let's see what Bing says about "Who founded Microsoft?"</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><img alt="who founded Microsoft?" border="0" height="160" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgie68L1ni8F7gJ7xo_tiZtxDIubA8x7CxjPZtS9Ym9c37530npbONRinbYRhRPH00lC1uWPc7iPCYdk41WYWgOeOUkc0hIpw3NACEtMnMF2zAoe1gF9jjWvPgZ3aCTtzQdqaPBe9aI3LXq/s1600/1.PNG" title="who founded Microsoft?" width="400" /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Hmm, that was an easy one. How about a more complex question?</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><img alt="who founded Microsoft and when?" border="0" height="157" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYqvduCOI3jycNtGj4AZhoSMaTJHUo51MqUbjypxbk_A5CEDQ1gUX5IZFw9bN-0e_DTOuZ5Ybbr244tAilxQq_mGI0ZjPN0PW7gfSu2gGgf5iwcwLDUR8fRwARmWZAEBDTmfqQbjbeakey/s1600/2.PNG" title="who founded Microsoft and when?" width="400" /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Nice! Let's test the follow-up question feature. Our next question is, "how old are they?"</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="auto" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQiYk8UakqiwmAwxsSH-lKvQPTWYW7suhupiBWmFttilHTXXEdFUsKaWN29a_KmIwpRl2Af2TlWRl1XLn47BZzx7i12wb2iyc8FXsEj-Z8_Xl5F9fZ_9l5fQ6HTpR5NCqIwvItM37xLLoz/s1600/3.PNG" width="550" /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Whoa! Believe me this is no trick. Bing has automatically understood who
 I meant by "they", even though I never explicitly mentioned their name.
 It was Bing that returned the results, and Bing that kept those results
 for future use. I was sure Bing will get confused because there are two
 founders for Microsoft, not just one.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
After a few minutes of playing around with this new feature, I must say I am sold! According to Microsoft;</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><blockquote class="tr_bq" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Bing will show the most pertinent information about Barack Obama, Burj
Khalifa in Dubai and Lawrence Fishburne. So, by combining conversational
 understanding with our knowledge repository containing information on
billions of people, places and things, you can dive and learn more about
 a topic or interest.</span></blockquote>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
This is actually not surprising for me, considering the amount of
research going on at Microsoft. Microsoft's latest Artificial
Intelligence project, Project Adam is supposedly better and as much as
30 times faster than its Google Brain counterpart, which goes on to show
 that Microsoft does have a solid research backing for projects like
these. Their investments in entity and conversational understanding
might just pay off real soon, and because it is becoming a trend,
Microsoft might be readier than Google for the coming years.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br />
</span><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
What do you think about this new feature? Leave your interesting
responses in the comments section below. Here's to the dismantling of
the web search monopoly! Cheers :)</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Search Engines have come a long way in the last decade from the simple keyword matching algorithms in the early 2000s to the intelligent conversation-aware engines
 of today. Google had its IPO exactly a decade ago in August 2004, and
despite piloting some major projects such as Android, Maps and YouTube
to success, it still remains focused on Search today. During all this
time, Google has achieved a lot of milestones, and here are 10 of the
most noticeable ones.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

<a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
The 10 milestones were posted by Google's Amit Singhal,
 who has worked there since 2000. According to him, Google has made 890
improvements to search in the last year alone! And there's obviously a
long way to go. But take a look at what Singhal thinks are Google's 10
biggest achievements from the past 10 years!</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
1. Auto-complete</span></h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Auto-complete predicts the most likely words and phrases that you're
going to type. And with Google Instant, you can see search results
loaded instantly - so you can quickly get to whatever you're looking
for.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
2. Translations</span></h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Google Translate was barely a beta product ten years ago. Today people
use it in 80 languages to do over a billion translations a day. Google
ist unglaublich!</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
3. Directions and traffic</span></h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Search used to be just about webpages, but the Google Maps team has made
 it possible to search the real world too. Now you can ask, “How far is
it to Santa Cruz?” and with one tap you can open walking, biking, public
 transit, or driving directions—with the fastest route so you avoid
traffic.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
4. Universal search</span></h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Users aren't always looking for textual search results. Google has
blended together different type of search results - from images and
videos to books and scholarly articles so you get the most relevant
info, whatever the format.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
5. Mobile and new screens</span></h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Google adapted Search to all types of mobile devices, which included
redesigning their mobile products to facilitate faster typing for
quicker results. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
6. Voice search</span></h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Gone are the days of typing queries as clunky keywords—you can now ask
questions by voice in the Google Search app. Instead of typing [weather
chicago], just say “Ok Google, will I need an umbrella tomorrow?” Years
of research have been invested into speech recognition and natural
language understanding, and voice search works in 38 languages today.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
7. Actions</span></h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
With the Google Search app you can quickly text, email or call someone
without digging and typing. Just say: “OK Google, send an email to John”
 You can even set sophisticated reminders like “Remind me to pick up
groceries tomorrow noon," and Google will buzz your phone at the
specified time.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
8. The Knowledge Graph</span></h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Google built the Knowledge Graph to show how things are connected—ask
“How tall do you have to be to ride the Cyclone?” or “Who’s in the cast
of Guardians of the Galaxy?”, and then click to explore across the web.</span>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

<br />
In only four years, Instagram has blossomed into a prodigious social media channel with over 200 million active monthly users that post an average of 60 million photos a day.<br />
But as with any social network, digital marketers want to deliver
tangible business value to brands in order to prove the network’s impact
 on the bottom line.<br />
Here are three types of true business value brands can get out of Instagram with visual content:<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
1. Product sales</h3>
Instagram is an ideal platform to encourage product sales because
it’s visual; it gives brands the ultimate opportunity to show off
products and drive purchase decision. After all, 90% of information
transmitted to the brain is visual, and visuals are processed 60,000 times faster than text. Instagram’s visual appeal is a very effective way to showcase products and influence purchasing decisions.<br />
Use Instagram to drive product sales by giving your followers the
first peek at a new line or product and provide an easy-to-type link
allowing them to be the first to buy. Share photos with discount codes
that are good for a small window of time to encourage purchases, too.
Track code usage in order to understand conversion rate and sales.<br />
When conducting campaigns, utilize UGC to drive product suggestions
for purchasing. Consumers are more likely to purchase based on a
friend’s recommendation, and what better recommendation than their
friend’s Instagram photo showcasing products they too can purchase?<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="illy Product line purchase incentive hashtag campaign" class="aligncenter  wp-image-37929" height="142" src="http://ift.tt/1kXouaV" width="320" /> </div>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
2. Conversions
</h3>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When you run Instagram photo contests and marketing campaigns, you’ll
 see an increase in your follower count and user engagement. Your CMO
will appreciate the increase in brand affinity. But she’ll be even more
impressed by measurable return on investment.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Conversions are solid metrics. Triggered responses are an effective
tool to build into Instagram campaigns to convert participants into
customers.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Set up a custom, automatic response to each campaign entry. This
response can contain a link to your campaign terms and conditions and a
signup form. Because Instagram does not support hyperlinks in comments,
users will need to copy and paste  or manually type links into their
browser. Make the links short and memorable.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Lilly Pulitzer Auto response to get look" class="aligncenter  wp-image-37930" height="256" src="http://ift.tt/1kXosjy" width="320" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Using the information on the sign-up form, marketers can convert
Instagram followers into email subscribers. They can then follow up with
 applicable discounts and exclusive offers, converting a measurable
percentage of participants into customers. Follow-up campaigns that
enabling this path to conversion offer a measurable business impact.
</div>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
3. Site traffic</h3>
Whether you’re looking to increase e-commerce sales, create business
leads, or build owned audiences, Instagram can help you meet all these
goals by driving traffic to your website.<br />
Triggered responses, mentioned above, are a fantastic way to get traffic to your website from Instagram.<br />
L’Oreal Shu Uemera utilized the feature to drive hashtagged content
owners to their site to claim a contest entry. In order to actively
drive commerce, L’Oréal took it a step further. They associated each
individual entry with a product on their site, making it easy for users
to purchase the products their friends love and recommend.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Loreal site traffic graphic" class="aligncenter  wp-image-37931" height="256" src="http://ift.tt/1kXosjz" width="320" /> </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Integrating a gallery of UGC Instagram campaign photos on your
website is a great way to drive Instagram audiences there, too.
Participants love to see their content embraced by brands, and in turn,
they can also share with their friends to visit the site or participate
in the campaign.
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To measure results, make sure that you integrate conversion tracking
through your web analytics platform. You’ll learn how many entries
convert into sales and how much revenue your campaign generates.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
There are many ways to measure success from social media marketing,
but perhaps the most tangible and valuable are the metrics discussed
above. If brands can share beautiful photos, engage communities and make
 a profit simultaneously, they win in all senses of the word.<br />

<br />
One of the most popular terms used in the world of content marketing is the phrase “evergreen content.”<br />
People get all excited about evergreen content because you only need
to put in the work once and you reap the rewards over and over and over
again for months if not years to come. Evergreen content keeps on
giving, mainly because it is not time sensitive and is going to always
be ‘in-date’ regardless of current trends.<br />
This is exciting because producing good content takes time. The
problem of course with evergreen content is the time is takes to come up
 with a concept for your blog posts that will withstand the test of
time. But there’s one form of content that doesn’t take too much effort
to conceptualise and will continue to produce traffic, leads and sales
for the foreseeable: Case Studies!<br />
Case studies not only add a huge level of authority to your website
but are also one of those incredible ways of generating long term
traffic. Let’s take a closer look at why case studies are as good as I
say they are:<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
1. Case studies are very niche specific</h3>
The great thing about case studies is that they are never a filler.
In other words, when people go to your website and read your case
studies, they are clued in directly to the niche that you are covering.
It’s hard for a case study to be a bit vague (if dealt with correctly of
 course). Case studies go into detail about your experiences of a
particular activity. For example, you own a website selling the ultimate
 car valeting guide book and have a blog. Every month you could publish
your method for perfectly cleaning particular elements of a car from the
 alloy wheels through to the engine bay.<br />
It would be hard to discuss your experiences of cleaning an engine bay without talking about <i>cleaning an engine bay </i>and therefore car. You get the idea.<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
2. Case studies focus on your audiences problems</h3>
The reason why case studies are so respected and sought after in any
content marketing strategy is that they are an easy way to link between
yourself (and brand) and your audience. You can start your case study
off with a story to draw in your audience and ensure you’re not just <i>another brand selling stuff</i>.
 A properly written case study lays out the issues and lays out
principles that are applied to the issues and facts. Formatted this way,
 case studies are not only easy to read and follow, but it’s also very
easy to extract value from them. This is why they are so powerful,
popular and effective.<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
3. Case studies display the process</h3>
There are many different people in your audience: Some people in your
 audience are just looking for answers. Some people in your audience are
 just looking to be assured that whatever situation they are going
through, somebody has experienced that as well. Many are just reassured
of the stories that case studies bring to the table. However, a
significant number of those people are actually looking for processes.
They’re not looking for specific answers because they probably already
have the answers, but they’re looking at how the answer was arrived at
and why the answer is <i>the answer</i>.<br />
Case studies are excellent sources for these people. Why? Case
studies can be written in a process intensive way. Think of a process
intensive case study like your Algebra problem sets in high school. Your
 teacher would always say “show your working”. Your teacher doesn’t care
 about the answer. Your teacher is more concerned about how you got to
the answer. Case studies can walk the audience member through the
process that produce an answer which leads us onto…<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
4. Case studies enable your site to stand out as an authority</h3>
Well-written case studies really shine. Anybody can write <i>How-To Guides </i>or <i>FAQs</i>.
 Anybody can compile interviews. However, case studies take a lot of
work. Case studies, at the very least, require paying attention to
certain common situations experienced by your audience members.<br />
More importantly, case studies apply a deeper level of analysis so
that the process is made clear and options are laid out. This level of
detail and analysis help your website truly stand out as a source of
authoritative content in your niche.<br />
It goes back to the ‘show your working’ phrase again. Anyone can come
 up with the answer to a problem (and some will make that answer up
solely to sell). If you can come up with a genuine answer and a set of
processes (workings) that took you to that answer then your reputation
in the niche will certainly sky rocket.<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
5. Case study presentations are modular and manageable</h3>
Another great factor going for a case study as a powerful example of
evergreen content is the fact that it’s often formatted in a very
modular way.<br />
Since most internet users have a very short attention span, this
modular presentation enables them to not just identify the answer
quickly, but also wrap their minds effectively around the process that
produced that answer. This enables you to present valuable information
in a very modular, compact and manageable way.<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
6. Case study content can be easy to create</h3>
As powerful as the case study format is, you might think that it’s
intimidating. You might think that it takes a lot of work to create. You
 might even think that it costs a lot of money to put together. The good
 news is that with proper tools and proper data gathering strategies,
case studies can be put together quite easily.<br />
If you cover a niche that has many established message boards and
forums, you can actually base your case study on questions asked by
forum members and get your answers from the responses. There are many
resources like Yahoo answers that are great sources for case study
elements.<br />
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The case study template</h4>
But here’s a quick template of how you could go about structuring your case studies:<br />
<ol>
<li>The Story or Problem: The first part of your case study needs to
explain what it is that you’re going to be solving. For example, if you
were focussed on the grow your own niche. Your problem could be “Carrot
Root Fly” a common problem when growing carrots. You would of course pad
 this out with your story. Explain that you’ve just started to grow
carrots and so on… You could even do this story part as a reader’s
question who emailed in.</li>
<li>The Potential Solutions: You then need to explain the potential
solutions you could use. List 3, 4 or 5 ways you’re going to explore
solving your issues.</li>
<li>The Testing: Now you’re going to put those solutions into practice and try each of them out to see what works.</li>
<li>The Results and Conclusion: This is the meat of your case study. You
 need to pick the best solution and explain why it is the best solution
and also why the other solutions weren’t quite as good.</li>
</ol>
It’s a simple structure but it works. You could of course break your
case study down into multiple parts that are drip fed to your readers
over the course of a week or even a month depending on how in-depth you
plan on going.<br />
If you are looking to make your blog or website stand out from your
competition, you might not need to look any further than the case study
format. Case studies enable you to present solid information in your
niche, show off your authority and also publish something that will
stand the test of time and continue to generate traffic. Keep the
considerations above in mind as you craft together your own particular
strategy for producing case study content.<br />
